We have been to several Bluegreen resorts including Lodge Alley in Charleston, S.C., Shenandoah Crossing in the mountains of Virginia and The Fountains in Orlando, Fla. They each have their own "flavor" and we were very pleased with all 3 locations. The resorts are clean and well run and the staff ALWAYS seems very willing to help with any special requests. The resorts are especially family friendly. They have game rooms and activities scheduled for children. Last winter we went to Disney for a week and stayed at The Fountains in Orlando. We were 5-7 minutes from Disney and when we were "done at Disney" there were more than enough things we could do on site at the resort. They have a wonderful indoor/outdoor pool with bar and hotub and their 2 bedroom villas have full kitchens, garden tubs, & surround stereo systems. While we were there they were completing a huge outdoor complex, which apparently now has been finished! Here is the description from the website about their latest amenity: "The Fountains has its own claim to fame- Bluegreen's Wakoola Springs. This 75,000-square-foot tropical oasis sets itself apart from an everyday pool with two twisting water slides, a zero-entry pool, interactive water fountains, two hot tubs, two bridges and two fire circles for campfires." We really have had a great experience with Bluegreen from our reservation process all the way through checkout. We hope you get a chance to try them out!
