Stardus Vacation Club
Stardust Vacation Club
4061 Lake Tahoe Blvd
South Lake Tahoe, California USA 96150
The Stardust Lodge is an older, but well maintained timeshare property located directly across from the Heavenly Gondola. The entire complex has 78 Studios and a Penthouse
The Stardust Vacation Club at Lake Tahoe is out of this world, with two outdoor heated swimming pools, two outdoor heated hot tubs, activities galore, and a guest Pro Shop with complimentary golf clubs, fishing gear, games, pool toys, and bicycles for guests to borrow. The resort is ideally located at the bottom of Heavenly gondola, and within walking distance to Harrah's casino, Heavenly Valley Ski Resort, and Lake Tahoe.
Stardust offers studio, one-, and two-bedroom units, all with celestial names. Studio units feature a kitchenette with mini refrigerator, microwave, and stove top, and a sleeper sofa, trundle bed, or Murphy bed in the living area (Starlite unit has additional round bed). One-bedroom units feature a kitchenette with a full-size or mini refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker, a sleeper sofa or Murphy bed in the living area, and a queen bed or Murphy bed in the bedroom. Two-bedroom units feature a full kitchen or kitchenette, sleeper sofa in the living area, king or queen bed in the master bedroom, and a queen bed, Murphy bed, or sleeper sofa in the guest bedroom.
For a truly unique experience while visiting Lake Tahoe, sign up for a sled dog adventure. Sit back in a comfortable sled while an experienced musher guides a team of strong, friendly huskies through pristine forests and meadows of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Glide through the back country of Tahoe National Forest under blue skies or starry nights and experience the forest floor in the soft, ethereal glow of moon light.
During the spring summer and early fall, the property is always a joy to drive by due to their excellent flower displays.
There are two pools and spas on the property.
The staff always seems to get the thumbs up, even from those with complaints.
As a Tahoe resident, I would hope you stay here, since the owners have a way of doing good things for South Lake Tahoe kids and schools.
A pass to Lakeside Beach is typically included with your room though you'll want to drive there if you've got beach stuff for a family.
PLUS:
Excellent location
Two pools
Extra touches, landscaping, bikes

Tahoe's Best Kept Secret! This small resort is directly across from the more expensive Marriott properties with easy access to the gondola and shopping. the current rooms are a little dated, but they have begun renovating the rooms as of Fall 2008 with completion expected within 4 years. After completion the units will be comparable to those of Marriott at a far cheaper price! The staff is incredible and they have activities planned every evening and complimentary donuts/coffee every day which makes it a quick stop before hitting the slopes. You can walk to shopping, gondola, casino's and even the lake.
